In 2008 his University of Windsor Women’s Chamber Choir earned first prize in the CBC National Radio Competition for Amateur Choirs (University Choir Category). Previous positions include Artistic Director of the Windsor Classic Chorale, Chorusmaster for the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, Director of Choirs at the University of Windsor, Apprentice Conductor for the National Youth Choir of Canada, Guest Conductor of the Cantata Singers of Ottawa and Interim Conductor of the Richard Eaton Singers. He has conducted the Windsor Symphony Orchestra and Alberta Philharmonic Orchestra and has prepared choruses for Joseph Flummerfelt, Paul Hillier, Roberto Minczuk, Ivars Taurins, John Morris Russell, John Poole, Imre Pallo, Grzegorz Nowak, David Effron & David Fallis.
Tim’s conducting repertoire ranges from virtuoso unaccompanied choral works to large choral/orchestral masterpieces including Mozart’s, Durufle’s and Faure’s Requiems, Bach’s Cantata 140, Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, Britten’s St. Nicholas, Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil, and Martin’s Messe pour double choeur. He has prepared choruses for performances of Verdi’s Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten, Bach’s Weihnachts Oratorium and St. John Passion as well as staged performances of Rossini’s La Cenerentola, Puccini’s Tosca and Verdi’s Falstaff. His conducting teachers include John Poole, Leonard Ratzlaff, Jon Washburn, Jan Harrington, Paul Hillier, Frieder Bernius, and Noel Edison.
